Kawasaki Heavy Industries Limited, a Japanese company, world leader in the energy efficiency sector, has acquired a minority in Mercurio S.r.l., an engineering and services company based in Verbania and focused on the design, construction, commissioning and maintenance of energy production plants, in particular high efficiency cogeneration plants, and with the Fibermech division, plants for the production and processing of reinforcement fibers.
This step represents the natural evolution of a partnership established in 2016, focused mainly on marketing and installation of cogeneration plants using Kawasaki gas turbines and engines. The partnership has developed rapidly over the years and has been characterized by continuous growth in numbers and mutual trust.
This participation will strengthen the integration between the two companies and help further expand Mercurio and Kawasaki’s business in the energy efficiency sector.
For Mercurio the entry of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Limited in the share capital represents a turning point and will allow to strengthen its presence in the Italian market both from the operational and financial point of view as well as for the brand reputation.
The medium-term strategy also includes the recent incorporation of EDONYS, a subsidiary of MERCURIO whose mission is to operate as an E.S.Co. in the energy efficiency field, with particular focus on the management of cogeneration and trigeneration assets installed at the end customers’ premises for the supply of energy services.
